Christmas at the Dollar Book Swap in The Great Western Marketplace - Reno, Nevada

Book Christmas Tree

A photo from my Black Friday shopping trip to the Great Western Marketplace in West Reno, Nevada. Used book lovers will love this store in the indoor marketplace. Parents with children that want used books will really enjoy this store in the market! I overhead that starting next weekend they'll have free Santa photos for kids, but you might want to check with them yourself because I didn't ask the specifics.

Dollar Book Swap Reno is affordable shopping for books, CD’s and DVD’s for the Reno/Tahoe area.  Books are $3 or less, music and movies $2 each and children’s books are $1 each or a bag full for $10.  Customers are encouraged to bring in their excess books to exchange for store credits.  We buy textbooks for cash, and we do trade ins. We want to provide quality affordable used books to our local market.  We also have a goal to get 1 million books into the hands of children and adults in our most at risk neighborhoods in the Northern Nevada/Northern California area.

I had recently found the blog called LifeHacker, where you can find tips about modern life like getting more out of your iPod with "ShrinkMyTunes (that was a link to the original Wired.com article). The software is available for $39.99. Considering I've only filled about 1 gig on my out-dated iPod, I don't need to take advantage of that tip.

I thought of that blog when I was surfing Hasbro's Monopoly site this evening (trying to get an electronic version to work on the new Windows Vista on the main computer). I found some Monopoly Game Tools that are absolutely necessary for the modern human being.
