BBC News - Stonehenge design was 'inspired by sounds'

There is a interesting article today at BBC with an interesting theory about Stonehenge being built by people playing around with acoustics.

Though, I do have to wonder, that if Steven Waller is an expert at archaeoacustics, and an independent American researcher, is there the slightest possibility (you think?) that somewhere along the line American taxpayers funded this foray into flute playing?

I'd still be fascinated by science, but I'm bone-weary of the National Debt and thus I do care that we're going into debt while financing all kinds of fun trips around the world for American scientists. Was this study at Stonehenge one of them?
