Newsweek was busy insulting just about everyone procliaming "America the Ignorant". At the top of the post it starts: "...Although the portion of poll respondents who believe Obama is a Muslim has risen recently, some of these oddball opinions contain more consistent numbers of believers. Here's a sampling of the nuttiest."
I watched that video from the Christian Anti-Defamation Commission sharing a few of Barack Obama's statements, and the Rev. Don Hamer's explanation of how at the heart of Christianty, Obama's belief system is not a match. I am offended that Newsweek would call people -- some of them are likely fundamentalist Christians that believe deeply that Jesus is the only way -- as having "oddball opinions". Barack Obama is so very open about his not-so-Christian attitudes and beliefs. Obama has celebrated and not denied his multi-cultural upbringing. Personally, I can take Obama at his word that he is Christian, and can assume he's struggling with fitting together the two cultures that he was raised in. I would have marked the correct answer during that poll. But I certainly don't get a kick out of thinking that somehow makes me smarter than the rest of America. Newsweek, I think, gets a kick of of thinking they're smarter than the rest of us.
Of course the article's next example of "nuttiest" held beliefs is that...
Only 39% of people believe in Darwin's theory of evolution ... the implication being everyone should if they're smart. Who doesn't believe in evolution? Religious people in the "Abrahamic faiths" that the author lists.
To be a smart American, Obama and the rest of us have to deny the word of God. So, Newsweek, how is someone dumb for not believing Obama has Christian beliefs, and Obama not dumb for having them?

What is your favorite flavor? Mostly I just took pictures at the candy shop today so I wouldn't be tempted to buy any. I went there with my nephews. This photo of a bin of Tootsie Roll Pops at a local candy store is currently my desktop wallpaper. Yummy!

If you're from Nevada, search my Zazzle store for the Republican version of this mug. Harry Reid has had decades to ensure that Nevada's kid's are among the least educated in the nation and we have the worse unemployment rate and highest foreclosure rates, etc.... When does the bad news end? Harry Reid would have you think Angle is too controversial. But he is the alternative folks. Isn't the definition of crazy doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results? Harry Reid has had plenty of time practicing politics with Nevada's economy and education system. It is time for Nevada to try a different approach. It is time to retire Harry Reid.
If you're from some other state that the employment rates are better and your kids are educated, by all means vote Democrat. I think we need balance. That's really the main reason I want Reid to move on and retire. Nevada needs balance.
